Since our inception in 1992 by Paul Van Cleve, Meridian Property Services has grown into a substantial operation with a dedicated staff of approximately 170 professionals. Our Team

Martha Van Cleve

President

Martha Van Cleve joined Meridian in 2003, bringing nearly two decades of real estate finance expertise, including leadership roles at Fleet, PNC, and Chemical Bank. Most recently, she oversaw a $1 billion commercial real estate portfolio as Senior Credit Officer at Fleet Bank. A Navy veteran, Martha earned her MBA from George Washington University and a BA from the University of Rochester. She is a member of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and a former Board Member of The Reinvestment Fund.

Paul Van Cleve

Founder and Executive Vice President

Paul Van Cleve, RPA, founded Meridian in 1992 with a mission to deliver exceptional property management services. With over 25 years of real estate experience, he has managed office buildings up to a million square feet, as well as industrial, retail, and special-use properties. A licensed broker in New Jersey and graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Paul served as a Naval Officer for six years and is a long-time member of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA).

Michael Thompson

Vice President and Director of Operations

Michael Thompson joined Meridian in 2004 and oversees all company properties, including NJ Transit contracts and privately owned commercial buildings. He also manages the NJ trades employment services contract for the State of New Jersey. A licensed sales broker with a background in sales and recruitment, Michael holds a BA and an MBA from St. Joseph’s University.

Mark Bulmer

Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mark Bulmer joined Meridian in 2015, bringing over twenty years of experience in financial and operational management. He oversees the company’s financial activities and is a key member of the executive team. Previously, he held leadership roles at Arrow Financial Corporation and Boston Scientific. Mark earned a BS from the University of Buffalo and an MBA in accounting from Union College, and he plays a critical role in supporting Meridian’s growth and success.
